Breast Feeding Concerns For My 5 Day Old…?

I have had issues getting my daughter to latch on to my right side.. My nipple has become cracked and bleeds and brought me to tears when I attempted to continue nursing from that side. In order to give it time to heal, I purchased a breast pump to use on the right while I breast feed her normally on the left.
My main question is this: how often should I pump my right breast in order to keep my milk supply fairly normal until my breast heals and I can continue to nurse regularly…?
