She feeds and feeds, it can go as short as 40 minutes to as long as an hour and a half and then I just stop her and supplement.
She’s just over a week old, it took awhile to get her latched but now that she is I don’ t know if she’s just hanging on and not drinking but every once in awhile I hear a gulp. She’s actively sucking, so maybe my milks not coming in so strong.
When it first came in I could pump about 3 ounces with the breast pump now i’m down to 2 ounces. Why would this be?
It’s only been in for about four or five days so I don’t have a lot of experience here. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I go back to see a lactation consultant tomorrow but thought I’d see if I could get any ideas now.
