Breast Feeding : Rude As Baby Shower Presents (breast Pump, Milk, Nipple Cream)?

Hi! I had a difficult time breast feeding! I knew nothing about it because it “sounded” simple. Now things are smooth at 4 months.
I would love to buy my cousins stuff to ensure her an easier breast feeding experience. Like a Book, some Medela Breast Cream, Maybe a nipple shield. Or is it rude? Because I’m not sure if she is going to breast feed. She never clarified it.
Should I just exclusively get her stuff for her baby?
